Greystoke Mahale

ositioned on the Kangwena Bay beach between the forest and the lake, Greystoke Mahale, also known as Zoe’s Camp, has six stylish, exotic wooden bandas, all looking out across the white beach to the lake.

The atmosphere is one of total relaxation.

The bar and dining area are raised up from the sand and loosely modeled on traditional Tongwe architecture.

The upstairs area, with its rare books and specialist primate library, has four decks that look out to every point of the compass.

Dinner can be taken in the tented dining area or on the beach under the stars.

Nkungwe Tented Camp

n a long stretch of Lake Tanganyika’s golden sandy shores, beneath the magnificent Mahale Mountains, lies Nkungwe Tented Camp.

An uninterrupted cacophony of beetles, crickets and birds and the calls of Chimpanzees in the forest accompany your stay at Nkungwe.

The camp is built with comfort and luxury in mind.
